Generic Name: Pantoprazole
Pantoloc 20mg contains Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This helps to alleviate symptoms and promote healing in various acid-related conditions.
Indications & Uses
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): For the treatment of heartburn, acid regurgitation, and healing of esophageal erosions.
- Peptic Ulcers: Used in the treatment and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Manages conditions involving excessive stomach acid production.
Dosage & Administration
- Usual Dosage: Typically 20mg once daily, or as prescribed by a physician.
- Method of Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably one hour before a meal. Do not chew or crush the tablet.
