Generic Name: Miconazole

Miconaz 2% Miconazole Oral Gel is an antifungal medication used to treat fungal infections in the mouth and throat, such as oral thrush. Miconazole works by stopping the growth of the fungus, providing relief from discomfort and promoting healing of the affected oral tissues.

Indications & Uses

• Oral Thrush (Oropharyngeal Candidiasis): Treatment of fungal infections in the mouth and throat.
• Angular Cheilitis: Management of fungal infections at the corners of the mouth.

Dosage & Administration

• Usual Dosage: For adults and children over 6 months, typically 2.5ml (1/2 measuring spoon) applied to the affected area four times daily. For infants 4-24 months, 1.25ml (1/4 measuring spoon) four times daily.
• Method of Administration: Oral. Apply the gel directly to the affected areas in the mouth using a clean finger or a cotton swab. Hold the gel in the mouth for as long as possible before swallowing. Do not swallow immediately.
