Description
Generic Name: Fenofibrate
Lipanthyl contains fenofibrate, a fibrate medication used to lower high levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. By reducing these lipid levels, it helps to decrease the risk of associated cardiovascular diseases and pancreatitis.
Indications & Uses
- Hypercholesterolemia: To reduce elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, and triglycerides.
- Mixed Dyslipidemia: To manage abnormal levels of lipids in the blood when diet and other non-pharmacological treatments are insufficient.
Dosage & Administration
- Usual Dosage: One 145mg tablet once daily, or as prescribed by a doctor.
- Method of Administration: Taken orally, preferably with a meal to enhance absorption.
