Ketofan contains Ketoprofen, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the body's production of certain natural substances that cause inflammation, pain, and fever. It is effective in reducing pain, swelling, and stiffness associated with various conditions.

Indications & Uses

• Rheumatoid Arthritis: To relieve pain, inflammation, and stiffness associated with rheumatoid arthritis.
• Osteoarthritis: For the management of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis.
• Ankylosing Spondylitis: To reduce pain and inflammation in ankylosing spondylitis.
• Acute Gouty Arthritis: For the treatment of acute attacks of gout.
• Dysmenorrhea: To alleviate menstrual pain.
• Post-operative Pain: For the relief of pain following surgical procedures.
• Musculoskeletal Pain: To manage pain from sprains, strains, and other soft tissue injuries.

Dosage & Administration

• Usual Dosage: For adults, the typical dose is 50mg taken 2-3 times daily, or as directed by a physician. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 200mg.
• Method of Administration: Taken orally with food or milk to minimize gastrointestinal upset. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking it.
