Generic Name: Amlodipine, Valsartan, Hydrochlorothiazide

Exforge HCT is a combination medication containing three active ingredients: Amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker), Valsartan (an angiotensin receptor blocker), and Hydrochlorothiazide (a thiazide diuretic). This triple combination works synergistically to lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, blocking substances that narrow blood vessels, and increasing the excretion of salt and water from the body.

Indications & Uses

• Hypertension: For the treatment of essential hypertension in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on dual therapy or as initial therapy in patients likely to need multiple drugs to achieve blood pressure goals.

Dosage & Administration

• Usual Dosage: Typically one tablet once daily. The specific strength prescribed will depend on the patient's individual needs and response to treatment.
• Method of Administration: Oral. Take with water, with or without food, at approximately the same time each day.
