About The Drug

Dalacin C is not effective for viral infections like the common cold or flu.

Dosage and Administration

How to use the drug safely and effectively?

* Usual Dosage:

* Adults: The usual dose is 150 to 450 mg every 6 hours, depending on the type and severity of the infection. A 300 mg capsule may be taken one capsule every 6 hours or as directed by your doctor.

* Children: Dosing is based on body weight and must be prescribed by a doctor.

* Method of Administration:

* Take the capsule by mouth with a full glass of water.

* You may take it with or without food.

* Do not lie down immediately after taking it; stay upright for at least 30 minutes to help prevent irritation of the throat and esophagus.

* Take it exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if you start feeling better.

* If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose.
