It is primarily used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, as well as certain types of arthritis. The enteric coating ensures that the tablet passes through the stomach intact and dissolves in the intestines, where it can exert its local anti-inflammatory effects.
Indications & Uses
- Ulcerative Colitis: For the treatment of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis and for the maintenance of remission.
- Crohn's Disease: For the treatment of active Crohn's disease, particularly in cases involving the colon.
- Rheumatoid Arthritis: To reduce pain, swelling, and stiffness in patients with rheumatoid arthritis who have not responded to other treatments.
Dosage & Administration
