Generic Name: Diclofenac Potassium

Catafast contains Diclofenac Potassium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that provides rapid relief from pain and inflammation. It works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, substances in the body that cause pain and inflammation. The granule formulation allows for quick absorption and onset of action.

Indications & Uses

• Acute Pain: Relief of mild to moderate acute pain, including post-operative pain, dental pain, and musculoskeletal pain.
• Inflammatory Conditions: Management of inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, as well as acute attacks of gout.
• Dysmenorrhea: Treatment of menstrual pain and discomfort.

Dosage & Administration

• Usual Dosage: For adults, the recommended dose is 50 mg (one sachet) two to three times daily, depending on the severity of the condition. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 150 mg.
• Method of Administration: Dissolve the contents of one sachet completely in a glass of water and drink immediately. It is generally recommended to take Catafast before meals for faster absorption, but it can be taken with food if gastrointestinal upset occurs.
